who I am
getting to know me
With over 25 years’ experience in the design industry, I have worked as a finished artist, typesetter, and graphic designer for some of Melbourne’s top design and publishing services companies. Self-employment now gives me the opportunity to develop closer connections with authors like you to bring the vision of their books to life.
Amongst past employers and proofreaders I have worked alongside, I am renowned for my efficiency and attention to detail, consistent and accurate typesetting skills, and for telling it like it is. Clients praise my calm and reassuring nature, going above and beyond the brief, and for making the confusing self-publishing process an unexpectedly enjoyable experience.
When not designing books, you’ll either find me reading, or with a camera round my neck photographing the beauty of the world and life's little moments. Lately I have fallen in love with aerial photography – nature’s stunning patterns and abstract textures are a sight to behold from the air (but I’ll have to design a lot more books to keep that up as a hobby).
I live in the foothills of the Yarra Ranges with my husband and two grown-up daughters, in a house with overflowing bookcases, surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with birds – blue wrens being my favourite.
